This shot was taken in Belize while island hopping on a very small prop plane. I leaned out of the window and voyeured my way into these folks secluded scene. The color, contrast are easy to find in that azure watered area but the composition; qutie honestly was a lucky shot---after all, it was a "fly by".

Vu Taong, I think is the name of thsi little fishing village. The village by the way, smeleld of rotting fish and fish parts...it is one of the worst smells that I have ever experienced..."death with bad breath" I believe was the comment that I made while standing their trying to not breathe. Believe it or not, this old creaky wreck of a boat went out that very day to pull fish (and all fish type stuff) out of the waters...
Along the coastal waters of Northern Vietnam these baskets are used to haul fish and "fishy animals" to market. This one, bottomless and no longer of use became an "object de' art".
These Vietnamese fishing boats were all anchored at the same time and being prepped to roll out for a day of fish taking. The gaily painted bows made for a lovely site.
